In my searching,I have received information back to Richard, b. c1555. His Grandson was Moses CLEVELAND of Marthas Vineyard, b. 1624. My anscestor is Edward, #7 of 12 of Moses' family. He was b.20 May 1664, d.26 Sept 1746. He married Deliverance PALMER, in March 1684. Two of Edwards G-G-Great Grand daughters were Isabella CLEVELAND, b.19 Jan 1828, d. 20 Nov 1916, m.12 Aug 1854 to Dr. Isaac Wilson DOHERTY,MD and Charlotte Francis CLEVELAND, b. 19 Sept 1840, d. 1921, m. 3 May, 1860 to Henry Clinton DAVISON. They are my Paternal and Maternal Great Grand Mothers.
I have as my line of Clevelands, the following:

They lived in Sussex, Penobsquis and St. John, NB Their house still stands on Hwy #2 at Penobsquis. A number of Clevelands are buried in the Church Yard, located by the hiway at the South side of Penobsquis.
% Isaac and Catherine had 13 children, born in Sussex.

2/ Abigail, b. 1827, m. Feb 18 1862, to James Calhoun of Hopewell Cape, NB
They lived a number of years at Hopewell, then in late 1880's they moved to Laconner, Washington, USA.and farmed there. Calhouns pioneered the area. They had two daughters, both buried in the Mt Pleasant cemetary, LaConner.

m. Dr. Isaac Wilson Doherty MD, Aug 12, 1854 in Shediac, NB.
He was born Aug 31,1831 in Maine River, NB, died Sept 2, 1911,Rexton, NB Dr. Doherty practiced medicine in NB from 1854 until his death. He started practice in Shediac NB but moved back to Rexton shortly after. Rexton was known as Kingston until 1911. Dr. Doherty had led a lobby to have it changed.
