"Shane", a "Vic" son, is a large, strong,
tri-color
male, owned by the
Buchanan's of Parry Bay Sheep Farm, and is their principal working dog
for their flock of 375 ewes and 900 lambs spread over a dozen grazing
locations. Proving himself in his daily work, "Shane" is a tireless,
courageous worker, powerful yet kind with either new lambs or rams. He
has produced some exceptionally talented offspring in his first litter,
so the breeding was repeated in 2003. As "Shane" carries a gene for
red, he is capable of producing either black and white, or red and
white offspring; depending on the genetic profile of the bitch put to
him.

“Scott” is
a 3 yr old large smooth coated male, sired by an imported son of
J.J.Templeton’s Spot ISDS 210921 X JM Seton’s Nell ISDS 190367.
He is a very natural outrunner, with good balance, and nice feel for
his sheep. For a large dog, he is surprisingly light and smooth on his
feet, with a flowing method of work. He is keen in his training, and is
preparing for trials later on this season. “Scott” is DNA Normal for
CEA (OptiGen certificate).
